Join us for afternoon tea to launch the 2024 awards

The Celebrating Forces Families Awards’ Event Team would love you to be there to celebrate the formal opening of the Nominations gateway for the 2024 Awards.

Join us on Wednesday 20th September on the spectacular 30th floor in the Atrium at Barclays in Canary Wharf for a memorable afternoon.

You’ll learn all about the awards and how you can support them. You’ll also get the chance to speak with past winners, our sponsors and our amazing team who work so hard to put these awards on.

On top of that you can enjoy some afternoon tea (curtsey of Barclays) and hear from two of our extraordinary finalists from the 2023 Awards – They’ll share with you what it meant to them to be nominated for a CFF Award and how it felt to go on and win one.

Chief of Defence People, VAdm Phil Hally CB MBE

This years awards were a huge success and Chief of Defence People, VAdm Phil Hally CB MBE reflected on his attendance:

“The most important part of the night was hearing the stories of the family members that have gone above and beyond to support the Armed Forces. For instance, the story of nine year old Molly who raised £6k, for the RAF community, by joining her dad as he ran and walked 100 miles in a day, despite the fact she lived with spinal muscular atrophy was truly inspiring. Stories such as Molly’s demonstrate to me the importance of making sure our Armed Forces families feel valued within the community as they play such a significant role in our lives.

Events like these are what the “living in our shoes” report terms small acts of kindness and they are important as while they increase resilience and bolster self-sufficiency the most important thing is that they help to celebrate just how important our families are.”

How you can help

We need you to spread the word as far and as wide as possible. We’d love you to help us promote the 2024 award and we hope that hearing from two of this years finalists will help to inspire you to do so.

We want to celebrate many more amazing examples of what military families do behind the scenes and for the betterment of the whole Armed Forces community.

There may also be a few sponsorship packages still available, and if there’s one you’re interested in, please do speak to a member of our team during the event.
