The Celebrating Forces Families Awards are back for 2026, and nominations are opening soon! This cherished annual event honours the remarkable contributions of Forces families across the UK – the unsung heroes who support our Armed Forces with strength, love, and resilience.

Now entering its fifth year, the awards shine a spotlight on the individuals and families whose stories deserve to be heard and celebrated. From everyday acts of kindness to extraordinary achievements, the awards recognise those who make a real difference in their communities and beyond.

Key Dates:

- Nominations Open: Monday 6th October 2025

- Nomination Deadline: Monday 15th December 2025

- Awards Ceremony: Friday 24th April 2026

Nomination Categories for 2026:

- Inspirational Adult Family Member of the Year (Headline Award) – A standout adult member of an Armed Forces family who continuously inspires and supports members of the military community.

- Young People's Award: Supporting the Armed Forces Community – For a child (18 or under) of someone who serves or has served, who has given their time and energy to the betterment of the Armed Forces community.

- Overcoming Adversity – For a military family member who has achieved success despite significant personal challenges (mental, physical, emotional, or social).

- Volunteer of the Year: Supporting the Armed Forces Community – Any individual military family member of any age who has volunteered to support the Armed Forces community.

- Away From Home Award – For a family member or family based overseas who has gone above and beyond to help their local Armed Forces community.

- Social Media Influencer – For someone in a military family who has positively impacted the Armed Forces community through social media.

- Military Family Charity – A registered charity or CIC that has provided exemplary support to Armed Forces families in the past year.

- Armed Forces Advocate(s) of the Year – A school, group, club, family, or individual who publicly and positively advocates for Armed Forces families.

- Small Business Owner – For a military family member who has launched an innovative business influenced by their military lifestyle.

- Public Service Award – For Armed Forces family members working in the public sector who use their lived experience to support the Armed Forces community.

- Business Award – For any corporate or commercial business actively supporting the Armed Forces community through innovative projects or services.
